Welcome to Abayomi Connect, a service marketplace designed to strengthen community vitality by connecting people through meaningful services, skills, and exchanges.
These Vendor Guidelines outline the responsibilities, expectations, and standards required to offer services on the platform.
By registering as a vendor, you agree to comply with these guidelines, the Abayomi Connect Terms of Service, and all applicable laws.
1. Role of Abayomi Connect
Abayomi Connect operates as a digital intermediary platform.
We:
- Facilitate connections between independent service providers (“Vendors”) and clients
- Provide tools for service listing, payment processing, and reviews
We do not:
- Provide services
- Supervise or control how services are delivered
- Verify professional credentials or licenses
- Assume responsibility for service outcomes
Each vendor operates as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent, or representative of Abayomi.
2. Vendor Eligibility
To offer services on Abayomi Connect, vendors must:
- Be legally allowed to provide the services they list
- Comply with all local, state/provincial, national, and international laws, as applicable
- Ensure their services are offered only where legally permitted
Some services may require:
- Local licenses
- State or provincial certifications
- National registrations
- Professional credentials
- Insurance coverage
Requirements vary by location, service type, and jurisdiction.
Vendors offering services in some categories must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Any required licenses, permits, or certifications must be disclosed in the vendor profile.
Abayomi Connect does not verify credentials and is not responsible for vendor compliance.
3. Licenses, Compliance, Credentials & Insurance
Vendors are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining and maintaining all required licenses, certifications, permits, and registrations
- Holding valid credentials for the specific location(s) where services are offered
- Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage when applicable
- Some services may require licenses, permits, certifications, or insurance, depending on the location and type of service.
Transparency Requirement
Vendors must clearly disclose on their vendor profile:
- Which licenses and credentials they hold
- The jurisdictions (city, state, country) where they are valid
- Any limitations related to geography or service scope
⚠️ Abayomi Connect does not verify credentials and is not responsible if:
- A vendor holds credentials valid in one jurisdiction but offers services in another
- A client hires a vendor without verifying credentials
Clients are responsible for reviewing disclosed credentials before hiring.
4. Local & International Services
Abayomi Connect may host:
- Location-based services
- Remote or virtual services
- Cross-cultural or international consulting services
For remote services:
- Vendors must clearly state that services are offered remotely
- Clients acknowledge that professional standards, cultural practices, and regulations may differ across countries
If you are licensed in a specific state or country, you must indicate this clearly so clients can make informed decisions.
Offering services outside your licensed jurisdiction is your responsibility.
5. Service Listings & Pricing
Vendors:
- Vendors must select the most accurate category for each service to help clients find and understand offerings clearly.
- Define their own services and pricing (in credits)
- Must ensure listings are accurate, clear, and truthful
Service descriptions should include:
- Scope of service
- Duration (if applicable)
- Any prerequisites or exclusions
- Whether the service is in-person or remote
Misleading or incomplete listings may be removed.
If you don’t upload a service image, a category image will be displayed automatically. Adding your own service image helps build trust and visibility, but it’s optional.
Services Requiring Prior Assessment
Some services require an initial evaluation before a final scope, timeline, or price can be defined (for example: fence installation, custom work, repairs requiring measurements, or material selection).
In these cases, vendors are encouraged to:
- Offer a free or low-cost consultation service as a separate listing, clearly explaining its purpose.
- Use the consultation to assess the project, define the scope, measurements, and materials, and estimate the final service.
- Create additional service listings based on clear units or scenarios (e.g., price per square foot, area, or service tier).
Clients may combine multiple services or consultations in a single order using credits.
Vendors must clearly explain in each service description when a prior consultation is required before proceeding with the main service.
6. Scheduling & Communication
After a service is purchased:
- Vendors and clients must coordinate scheduling within 24 hours
- Vendors are expected to:
- Respond promptly
- Confirm date, time, delivery method, and expectations clearly
Abayomi Connect does not manage calendars or appointments on behalf of vendors.
7. Service Completion & Payment
Once the service has been delivered:
- Vendors must mark the order as Completed in the system
- This step is required for payment eligibility
💰 Payments
- Vendor payouts are processed via PayPal within up to 7 business days after a service is marked as Completed, subject to payment confirmation, dispute review, fraud prevention checks, and compliance verification.
- Vendors are responsible for maintaining an active and valid PayPal account
- Abayomi Connect is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or inactive payment information
8. Platform Commission
Abayomi Connect charges a commission on paid services sold through the platform.
• Introductory period: 10% commission for the first 6 months (until 08/18/2026)
• Standard commission: 12.5% after 08/19/2026
The commission is automatically deducted from the service value before payout.
Abayomi Connect reserves the right to adjust commission rates in the future. Any changes will be communicated in advance through the platform or by email.
9. Reviews & Community Trust
After each service:
- Clients are encouraged to leave honest reviews
- Vendors are encouraged to leave respectful feedback about clients
Reviews help:
- Build trust
- Strengthen community vitality
- Improve service quality
Abusive, false, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited.
10. Community Exchange Services (CES)
Community Exchange Services (CES) allow vendors to offer services as part of a non-monetary, community-based exchange.
CES vendors:
- Offer services voluntarily or through mutual exchange
- Receive CES credits upon completion
- CES credits:
- Are usable only within the CES category
- Cannot be converted to cash
- Cannot be used to purchase paid services
CES exists to promote inclusion, collaboration, and community well-being.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Vendors may not:
- Misrepresent credentials or qualifications
- Circumvent the platform to avoid fees
- Solicit off-platform payments for services initiated on Abayomi Connect
- Engage in unsafe, discriminatory, or abusive behavior
Violations may result in suspension or termination.
